AN ALL TIME FAVORITE -- Okay, it's kinda gory in the beginning....but "Gladiator" tells the story of man of strength and honor. "I always watch this when I've had a bad day," said Arigon. "It always makes me feel like it's worth fighting the fight." Oh....and we thought it was just Russell Crowe. AAAY!

Neil Young -- Heart of Gold

Walk The Line

Serenity

This very cool concert film was directed by Jonathan Demme and features Neil with an all-star band (many from his classic LP "Harvest") with song from his CD "Prairie Wind." Filmed at the famous "Mother Church" of country music -- The Ryman Auditorium" -- this is good music performed by talented performer. The Johnny Cash bio-pic is all that and a bag of chips! Great music and stellar acting from Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. Our fave moment -- when Mother Maybelle grabs a gun to chase off the drug pusher. Yee-ah! And doesn't Shelby Lynne look like she could be the lead in "The Mink Stole" story. She sure could! This science fiction movie is a favorite at Wacky Productions Unlimited. Based on the short-lived TV series "Firefly," this movie gives you more backstory and lots and lots of action. Arigon is a big fan of Joss Whedon, who is the mastermind behind this fantastic film.

The Beatles
A Hard Day's Night

The X-Men Trilogy

Quadrophenia

"Who's that little old man there?"

"What little old man?"

"Oh, that little old man. He's my grandfather...."

So goes the opening dialogue from the Beatles' classic debut film "A Hard Day's Night." Richard Lester directed the madness and captured something we're not likely to see again! The Fab Four forever!

Arigon is a major fan of the comic book "The X-Men." "I've seen all three of these -- and love them all. Gather some friends, watch them all in order....and then ponder which one of your friends might go all 'Dark Phoenix' on you. AAAAY," laughed Arigon. "We are the mods, we are the mods, we are, we are, we are the mods!" Pete Townshend wrote about his days as a "mod" -- you know, the kids with the short hair, skinny ties and green parkas? Yeh, we're surprised they're still around, too. AAY! This is a fun movie full of teen-age angst. Thrill to a very young Sting as "The Face."
