The Making of the Red Road CD

Updated On Wednesday, January 4, 2006
Richard McLaurin and Stuart Duncan
Engineer extraordinaire Richard McLaurin gets proper microphone placement on Stuart Duncan's mandolin during "The Red Road" sessions at the House of David Studios in Nashville. Richard recently engineered sessions for Gary Bennett, Billy Joe Shaver and and Allison Moorer. He is a fine guitarist and singer, too. House of David Studios has been on Music Row for a long, long time and is owned by keyboardist David Briggs -- very famous as Elvis Presley's pianist. David has been on a ton of sessions (from Elvis to Tom Jones to George Jones to Kenny Chesney and everybody in-between!) and his studios have been used by artists like B.B. King and Joe Cocker. It's a cool place to make some music!
