The Making of the Red Road CD

UPDATED ON Wednesday, January 4, 2006
Skip Edwards on the Hammond B3
Skip Edwards is one of the most popular session keyboard players in Los Angeles. He's been on practically ALL of Dwight Yoakam's records -- and worked with folks like Roy Orbison and k.d. lang (on their "Crying" session), Morrissey, Lucinda Williams, Rosie Flores, Buck Owens, Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys....and a bunch of commercials. He was also front and center as part of the band at the recent Gram Parsons' Tribute Concert in Los Angeles. He was a true professional and had a great sense of humor. He is fond of saying, "You compose 'em, we de-compose 'em." Skip also added some terrific accordion to the song "Mexican Souvenirs" -- which features a Spanish voice-over from actor Ehecatl Chavez.
