KEEPING UP WITH THE DIVA!
Arigon Starr is running amok!
As you probably know, 2009 is already off to a fast start. We sure hope everyone out there is having a decent time and not suffering as much as the nightly news would have everyone believe. Arigon has been criss-crossing Southern California and is currently whooping it up in Las Vegas. No kidding! AAAY! She did want everyone to make sure to tune their radios to KPFK 90.7 FM next week. Here's the scoop:
AMERICAN INDIAN AIRWAVES -- WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18 FROM 2:00PM TO 4:00PM PACIFIC TIME -- Yep, it's the annual "Indigenous Comedy Day" featuring legendary comedian Charlie Hill. Arigon joins Charlie for two full hours of comedy and music. Also appearing will be musician/writer Joy Harjo and some other surprise guests. You can listen to the show on the radio in the Southern California area by tuning in to 90.7 FM. If you're anywhere else, direct your browser to KPFK-FM and click on their live stream. Hilarity is already in the planning, so be sure to tune in. The show will also be broadcast on a later date via Gregg McVicar's "Bay Native Circle" show on KPFA-FM in Berkeley. As soon as we get an airdate, we'll let you know!

LIBRARY GIG ON JANUARY 24TH IN SAN MARCOS, CA -- Arigon will be making a live performance stop at the San Diego Public Library in San Marcos, CA. Yes, it's an unusual site for a gig, but because Arigon knocked the socks off of one of the head honchos at her stop this year at the American Library Association's annual conference in Anaheim, she has been invited to be part of their World Music Series. The show goes on at 7:00pm and the library is located at 2 Civic Center Drive, San Marcos, CA 92069. Their phone number is (760) 891-3000. The show is free, so come on down and hear your Diva favorites and possibly some new songs, too!

NEW PLAYS A-GO GO -- One of the reasons Arigon has been quiet this summer/fall is that she has been writing TWO new stage plays. She completed two new plays -- both with music involved. They both have lots of humor -- and we'll have more information for you about these projects soon!
