April 14, 2004 HOT NEWS UPDATE! -- Arigon will be an in-studio guest on KPFK's American Indian Airwaves today. The show is broadcast in Los Angeles on 90.7 FM from 3:00-4:00 PM. You can also listen online LIVE. She will perform some brand new material inspired by Joseph Dandurand's "Please Do Not Touch The Indians." Be sure to tune in and get the scoop straight from the Diva. That's a photo of Arigon and co-star Andrew Roa. Arigon and Andrew were actually allowed to climb into one of the Autry's display cases to get their photo taken with a "real" wooden Indian. That red shawl came from the sewing machine of Arigon's Aunt Lucy Kimble in Ponca City, Oklahoma. It's a beauty, ennit?
DON'T FORGET TO WISH THE DIVA "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" ON APRIL 15TH!-- Yep, it's Tax Day once again so make sure you send in your return and send cards, flowers and gifts to Arigon c/o Starrwatcher Online. If she claims she didn't get your big box of See's Candy or that gift certificate to the Burke-Williams Spa, heed her no mind. We here at Starrwatcher Online will make sure she gets your gift pronto! AAAAAAY!
That Diva has given us a bunch of awesome photos from her trip last week to New York City. We are working on getting them up here and should have everything in place by the end of the week. In the meantime, here is a teaser photo of Arigon in the bustling metropolis -- right in good ol' Times Square. As you know, Arigon performed at the Circle Theater and roamed the island looking for vintage vinyl and cool rock n' roll gear. She also spent time at the NMAI's Gustav Heyes Center doing some research on a one-woman show she is in the process of creating.
