The Menu Song

[html5mp3small:6626]

Biscuits and gravy
Cornbread and beans
Pancakes with syrup
Hamhocks and greens

Milkshakes and hot dogs
Hot, smothered grits
Navajo Tacos
With crisp bacon bits

We don’t just serve ’em
They come with a smile
The All Nations Café
Is well worth your while

Chicken fried steak
And cheeseburgers, too
There might be mutton
In the Big Mountain Stew

There’s daily specials
Like Shiprock Surprise
Or Chinle Corn Chili
And Okie Fried Pies

Indians and truckers
Come follow the signs
The All Nations Café
Where Sapulpa dines

Arigon Starr as Emmitt Tsinajinnie

Arigon Starr as “Emmitt Tsinajinnie”

“I make biscuits just the way they taught me at Riverside Indian School in Anadarko. Our teacher used to tell us — ‘Feed ’em, but don’t fatten ’em!” — Emmitt Tsinajinnie. Emmitt is the beloved Navajo frycook at the All Nations Café and can always be counted on for wisdom and entertainment. His last name is pronounced SIN-ah-Jin-nee and he works alongside Verna at the Cafe. He debuts his café jingle on “The Patty Jones Show.”
